Guidance
Our guidance unit believes that education is a lifelong journey that develops individuals socially, emotionally, and academically. The foundations of this journey are laid in the family and further developed at school. Recognizing individual differences and personality formation is at the center of our approach.
Our goal is to create a safe and warm educational environment where students can discover their potential, express their emotions and thoughts, and adapt to new environments and social activities. Social-emotional development is the cornerstone of our guidance services and supports values such as empathy, problem-solving skills, and self-awareness.
As Kilittaşı & Keystone, we are committed to nurturing individuals who are at peace with themselves and society, curious, adventurous, and capable of achieving their goals. Through close collaboration with students, families, and educators, we aim to support each child's developmental journey and prepare them for a balanced, happy, and productive future.
Kindergarten Guidance
At our school, psychological counseling and guidance services are conducted by our psychological counselors to help students know and understand themselves, discover and develop their characteristics, and make the best use of the educational process they are in. Recognizing and developing students' individual characteristics is of great importance.
The following activities are carried out within the scope of Guidance Services:
• Parent meetings to get to know students
• Parent information activities
• Observations and individual meetings to get to know students
• Planning and implementation of the adaptation process to facilitate students' adaptation to school
• Classroom activities that support students' social and emotional development
• Counseling activities for teachers and administrators
The preschool period is a time when the child develops a sense of belonging to a place outside their home and family for the first time, takes on roles other than being their parents' young child (such as friend, student), and communicates with individuals outside the family members. During this period, which is very important in terms of development, it is crucial to support the child in social and emotional processes such as adaptation, self-awareness, recognizing emotions, and communication. Psychological counselors monitor students' developmental processes, create records related to these processes, and continue to work in cooperation with teachers and parents.

High School Guidance
Our most fundamental goal is to raise children as individuals who are socially and emotionally independent, have problem-solving abilities, and have high awareness. Students are supported through individual meetings, group work, and preventive guidance activities in the classroom. Guidance teachers also observe students in the school environment, make individual and group guidance interventions when necessary, and prepare guidance services focused on students' development.
Guidance for Families
The most fundamental education begins in the family, and the child is the mirror of the family. Keystone Schools collaborates with parents to develop children emotionally and socially. School psychologists inform families about their children's development and the situations they experience through routine family meetings and individual meetings.
In middle school, guidance teachers try to understand students' needs by communicating with their social environment. Parents can request appointments to discuss their children's progress. These meetings are confidential, and guidance teachers organize sessions to develop parents' skills and improve their relationships with their children.
Guidance for Teachers
Guidance teachers work together with administrators and teachers, holding regular meetings to identify and solve student needs and problems. They also provide counseling to teachers and organize meetings and presentations on various topics.
